Tour description

Embark on a journey through the wilderness, far from the ordinary. The Snowtrain will take you through mysterious forests and fields to a secret spot where a Lappish hut awaits. Step outside and let the soft sounds of the woods inspire your imagination; see how nature looks in the pale moonlight, and watch the stars fill the sky with their brilliance. Apukka’s knowledgeable guides reveal the secrets of the Arctic night! Gather around a crackling campfire, enjoy light snacks and a hot drink, and feel like a true explorer. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of the magical Aurora!

This tour is organized in all weather conditions. When the skies are clear, our Northern Lights campsite offers optimal chances to see the Auroras. During cloudy weather, we highlight other aspects of the Arctic night.

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:
- Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you need transportation:
- The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
- The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center (Korkalonkatu 36, Rovaniemi) and Santa Claus Village’s bus stop, situated by the main road (Road E75).
- Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
- You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
- Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
- The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
- If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.

If you arrive by car:
- You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
- Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
- Pick up your winter gear from the Apukka Adventures dressing room.
- Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
