How do they know where to go? Our guides keep a close eye on Aurora forecasts, weather, and cloud conditions. Only when the conditions are optimal do we organize these rides. This tour not only provides you with a great chance of seeing the Auroras, but you'll also learn the best camera settings to capture stunning pictures and gain insights into this fascinating phenomenon of the Northern skies.
The choice of vehicle depends on the group size. A car is used for smaller groups, while a bus is utilized for larger groups.
This tour is organized only when there is a good chance of seeing the Auroras.

If you stay at Apukka Resort:
- Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.
If you need transportation:
- The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
- The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center and Santa Claus Village’s bus stop, situated by the main road (Road E75).
- Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
- You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
- Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
- The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
- If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.
If you arrive by car:
- You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
- Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
- Pick up your winter gear from the Apukka Adventures dressing room.
- Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
Most of our nature-based activities occur in the vicinity of Apukka Resort, located in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland. Conveniently, it's just a 20-minute drive from the city, 15 minutes from the airport, and a mere 10 minutes from Santa Claus Village. Our Arctic location, free from light pollution, significantly enhances the chances of witnessing the Northern Lights.
